All-Star ''Big Brother'': It's on!

All-star ''Big Brother'': It's on! The CBS reality show will welcome back past contestants -- selected by viewers -- for this summer's season 7 by Lynette Rice of Entertainment Weekly

Paging Dr. Kirby, Chicken George, and the faaaabulous Marcellas Reynolds! EW has learned that CBS will air an all-star version of Big Brother when it returns for a seventh season this summer. In the current issue of EW, we say who we'd like to see back in the hot tub this summer, but for the first time ever fans will get to choose who participates in the game from a pool of 20 former houseguests (BB6's Kaysar Ridha, stay by your phone!). CBS has yet to announce how or when voting will occur.

So far, the basic rules will remain unchanged for the all-star version: One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house and at the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive $500,000. And yes, Julie Chen will return as host.

The Peoples Party (a reality tv show)

Is it really possible to have a peoples party at this point in time? A party who's candidate was chosen, and supported by the American people?
Yes... it really is possible. And high time if you ask me.
When I was in school they told me I could be anything I wanted. Even the president of the United States. But they never taught me how. Oh sure, we had a class president and all that, (and I seem to remember something about a cartoon bill that kept getting vetoed or something), but somehow I just don't think it's the same thing. But I have asked dozens of people (smart ones too) if they new how to go about being president if they chose to. None of them had the slightest clue. Not that I would ever want to be the president. I can't even ballance my own check book, (or remember if that cartoon bill ever got passed or not) let alone trying to balance the budget for a nation. However, I have met quite a few people along my journeys that I thought had all the attributes I would like to see in a president. Strong, responsible, honorable people, always seeming to naturally look out for the needs of others, less fortunate, and weaker than themselves, while at the same time accomplishing great feats of productivity, (including balancing their check books).
Ive met them in all walks of life. All shapes, sizes, sexes, and colors. Proud Americans, all of them. According to our constitution they have the right to run for president. The only question is... how? Well check it out...

I hope all is going good with the new project. I can't express to you how much I appreciate your work. You both inspire me and give me hope that someday we the People will find our voice again and take our country back. On that note, I have a great Idea I’d like to share with you. This is an idea I’ve spent serious time thinking about. I’d like to humbly ask for your help. The idea needs shepherding from someone of your caliber. So here it is…

“The People’s Party”
A reality television game show
by Alan Abbott

Contestants will compete for a chance to run for President of the United States for the People’s Party.

Possible contestants, chosen from the general public, are asked (via television & radio) to send in a video tape or DVD, 3 minutes or less explaining why they or the person they are nominating should be considered as a presidential candidate.

The show will be run Documentary/American Idol style. The cameras follow each contestant on their quest. Throughout the campaign contestants and their entourage travel together, eat together, stay at the same hotels, and share the same campaign headquarters in the convention rooms at the hotels where they stay.

The American public will have the opportunity to vote for the candidate of their choice by telephone and the contestants with the lowest number of votes steps down each week.

The winner of the show wins the candidacy for the Peoples Party, and actually runs for president of the United States of America.

That is the basic idea. I see it as an entertaining way to empower the people to establish their own party, educate the public about what it takes to run for president. Most importantly, it will give the people a chance to take their country back.

I have been developing the show for over a year and have a lot more material. I didn’t want to bombard you with it all right now. I have made several trips to and from L.A. (from Maui) trying to contact you through “more appropriate means” than e-mail, but to no avail. So here we are.

This is actually the second e-mail I have sent you, but I fear the first may have gotten lost in the crowd, as I know you try to respond to all your e-mails. So just to give you a heads up, I am going to ask a few friends to give me a hand in getting your attention. After all, election time is around the corner, and I’d like you to be given the first opportunity to give the country back to the people. Hope you don’t mind. I sent this letter to Michael Moore on May 19th, 2006 but Mikes a busy guy. He probably hasn't even checked his email yet. He is currently shooting another feature documentary, and I'm sure the shooting schedule is very labor intensive. Not ot mention the amount of e-mails the guy must get every day. Then when he does finaly get a chance to read them, I'm sure he has a priority list of some kind. Either way, he has not returned this e-mail yet.
But Michael is not the only person that is important to reach. If we are going to make a difference we have to work together, and spread the word to everyone.

Amazing Race

I randomly discovered this tribe and I'm so curious as to why no one has posted anything about the Amazing Race. It's, by far, one of my favorite shows ever. Then again, I love to travel and I love that kind of competition. I admit, I have not once seen Survivor, but from what I understand about it is that people manipulate others so that they can win. What I love about the Amazing Race (among many other things) is that when a team is eliminated, it happens because of their own doing, not because others are better at manipulating people. Does anyone in here watch it?

Well,regarding ms. NY, the nut dosn't fall far from the tree. Last night's episode had Flava meeting the three remaining girl's parents, and Her mother was just about the meanest, angriest ,most hypercritical, judgmental, and all around disagreeable human beings i've ever seen. when she found out that flav was 46, she told him, like 6 times one after the other "you're old." when NY mentioned marriage to Flav she said "oh THAT will never happen. Ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever." (seriously, i'm not exagerating the number of "evers." in fact I think I missed a few) Flava found out from Pumkin's Mom that Pumkin had been on like 6 different reality shows, and as we all know, Flav dosn't like that kind of thing. so At the elimination ceremony, Pumkin did NOT receive a clock. what ensued will no doubt go down in history as one of the best (or worst) reality tv moments ever. pumkin was outraged and began toi cuss out ms ny. then she hugged Hoopz. then she actually SPIT in NY's face!!!!!!!! NY grabbed her and hurtled her toward a camera, and it looked like Pumkin hit her head on it. great stuff. to see it, go to vh1.com

While I can certainly appreciate a good ballroom dancing competition & can admire the beauty & stuff of good dancers. Those first few couples were quite the train-wreck.

Reclaiming my manhood by saying - yes, I stuck around long enough to watch that gal from the WWE dance (gawd, she's got FABULOUS legs!) - I switched over to "My Name Is Earl" by the 9-o'clock hour.

Survivor, Exile Island

Woo hoo! Finally the new season started, and this one looks to be the best ever to me. Love the way the tribes have been divided, and the whole exile thing. Now, I think the younger men tribe is just a pathetic mess... a whole lot of screwing around and posturing there. And I think the older women were just plain stupid for voting off Tina... Cirie should have been the first to go. That broad is afraid of everything (leaves?!?) and I doubt she will be much help for the tribe in the long run.

firstly, the term "celebrity" can be taken with a huge handful of salt here. I don't really remember any of their names offhand, and that's really a good idea of how good this is. They have the same old boring three clone judges, a crotchety, cantankerous british guy, some other guy, and Dorothy hamil. I think we've gone to the well once to often with the "one nice judge, one ambivolent judge, one mean judge" formula. This is beating a horse to death, ressurecting it, beating it to death again, and beating it yet some more. most of the Skaters suck, but then i've never ice skated in my life, and really don't plan on it. they continually say that skating's tough, and I don't doubt it. it's just not very entertaining no matter what, and this show has proven it.

Celebrity Fit Club

new season debuted last night. Interesting mix, as usual: Chastity Bono and Jeff Conoway (from Grease and the Taxi TV show) are the captains, and from the preview of next week, Conoway is going to f**k up right from the get-go. Zodiac and I both felt that Kelly LeBrock looked fantastic and didn't need to lose any weight at all... all goes back to Hollywood's disturbing trend towards women who look like they are dying of something. Tempestt Bledsoe doesn't look that bad, either, and Countess Vaughn only weighs 130! Even at 4'11", that is pretty light. Bruce Vilanch and Young MC are the worst, and have some terrible health issues. Bizarre ( a rapper) rounds out the group.

Going Tribal

Anyone watch this show on the Discovery Channel? We think it is just great... very interesting and very sweet, actually. Bruce Perry goes all over the world, and lives for about a month with the most primitive tribes he can find. Typical anthropologist? Not even. This one is just an amazing man in an amazing show, and if you haven't seen it, we highly recommend it.

Breaking Bonaduce part 2

Decided to start a new thread because the other one is getting soooo long...

Last night was really rough to watch, and it looks as if this is only going to get worse. Zodiac and I are so sympathetic and empathetic with Danny, it is really painful to watch this downward spiral. I really, really like this guy, and it is awful to see how his self-destructive shit is just wrecking him.

At least last night, the therapist got into his wife's issues a bit! I understand (believe me, I do!) co-dependancy and her desire to do something for herself, however, to me it seems like she is sort of goading him into bad behavior or maybe she is just oblivious to just how bad off he is. I would NEVER have a party without my husband, let alone not answer the phone during it and have a stripper at it! Knowing Danny's fragile state and his temper, wtf did she think was gonna happen??

We are really rooting for him around here....

I watched Larry holmes butchering Marvin Gaye's let's get it on.......ugh!!! and that one gotti kid is getting through the competition on looks alone, as is that chick Bai ling. there are only two people in the competition who can sing halfway worth a shit, and the rest of them SUCK!!!! what a farce.

Saddest Survivor season ever....but I am still loving it!!!

Bobby Jon- From your attitude stomping about Steph making you want to vomit to you not even being able to point your body in the same direction as Jamie at tribal council...you are making great TV my friend. So good to see you playing the game as well, trying your darnedest to get the others to turn on Jamie instead of Brandon. You really impressed me tonight.

Cindy- What is wrong with you girl? Your speech during tribal council should have woke you up. You are right nobody noticed or cheered you on during the challenge and they did Judd...way to settle for 6th girlfriend. Did that not ring any bells that you are on the outside of that team? You should have flipped and made a power move. 5 for 5 would have at least gotten you a chance at a higher spot.

Danni- What can I say? Everyone seems to love you. From Brandon telling you you are the sister he never had to Rafe loving you in the woods....everyone loves them some Danni. I just hope you can find the Immunity to save yourself...I think it is your only shot.

Gary- Still nothing. lol So weird I just get no vibes from you at all. I am starting to think there is something wrong with me lol But way to win Immunity my friend.

Jamie- You are a total and complete ass. Period. I am classless so don't worry, I will tell you from one southern boy to the other...ass...whole. You even made Jeff Probst shake his head in disgust.

Judd- Jamie stole your crown as Captain A but you gained a ton of my respect when you did the challenge. Still not sure why you did it though, unless like Jamie said you still feel 5th and want to make sure you stay in good with them.

Lydia- No surprise you took on the painting of the new flag. You are always so positive. I hope you prove me and everyone on your team wrong though because right now you are a pawn to be thrown away. I hope you use some of that Lydia magic to keep yourself from being discarded when the time comes.

Rafe- I love that you had a soul tonight and the game got to you. It is harder than you thought isn't it? But there is still something about you feeling bad about playing with evil...but you kept playing with it. So smart move in the game to get rid of Brandon but did it do your soul good? Maybe if it wins you a million dollars but if not I think you might need Ian's phone number when this is all done.

Steph- Miss Smirk-alot. You can't help it can you? Because you know right now that everything in this entire game just keeps playing your way. You can't hold the smile in that says, "Is this really happening? I am so gonna win this thing!"

Brandon- My god I loved you. I hate when all the people I like start to get picked off. You just went out the way you lived the game...zen. Wish I was half as calm as you. It was a pleasure watching you play the game.

Breaking Bonaduce

Caught the premiere of this one last night, and it is rough. Bonaduce refers to himself as a car crash, but this is more like a 50 car pile up in the fog. And his wife, who wants us all to see her as long-suffering and a real saint, has some real issues that only contribute to Bonaduce's problems (she is 'too evolved' to want sex???)

Destri and I, brave reality tv soldiers that we are, endured 5 weeks of this crap and it just got lamer and lamer. in all actuality, the veiwers don't really decide who wins exactly, as the judges decide who is in the bottom two or three. and the judges are a bunch of hackneyed pompous jackasses who sit on high talking shit about people when they bust their asses in a vain attempt to impress them. in short, the show just plain sucks.

I was totally disgusted when I heard that Hatch had used money that was supposed to go to a charity to fix up his house. there are also abuse allegations concerning him. AND he never bothered to pay taxes on his million he won on survivor. I wonder if any of his survival skills will help him out in the joint? seriously, though, I think he may have gotten caught up in his "Character" from the show..........

Glad to join this grup all..... My addiction is really Survivor and has been since day one...... Long story but it lead me to the NY finales and meeting most of the Survivors lol Actually the highlight was attending the ALL STAR finale and After Party here in NY....
Also love Big Brother, The Apprentice, Amazing Race and even The Cut Mostly all the elimination shows... ;-).... and another one bites the dust.....and another one gone and another..

Survivor repeats on OLN

We just finished with the first one, and Survivor Australia starts Monday. I happen to really like Richard Hatch, and really enjoyed finally seeing how he managed to win the first one.

Craziest thing last night was Tonya from the Real World admitting to having slept with Johny Fairplay (Survivor, my Grandma died). What a shock. That girl really has no standards...

I'm really loving this hell's kitchen thing. Chef Ramsey is, in my opinion, an awesome guy, a lot of people will probably hate him, but i think he just runs a very tight ship. it will be interesting to see which of those guys win it, right now i'm predicting it will be chris.

Ok...For starters, I was a huge fan of Michael Hutchence. (Half of my sexual fantasies starred him). Not to mention he was such an amazing front man. I had vowed I would not watch ths show when it was advertised. Of course when it came on I DID watch (though I told myself it was only to see the stunningly lickable Dave Navarro...yum). But I actually have to admit I am really enjoying it. I keep forgetting that it's NOT American Idol so therefore I am always amazed at the caliber of the talent of the aspiring wannabes. Still seems like an odd way to choose a lead singer (and no one could ever replace Michael)...but...what the hell...I guess it's as good a way as any.

30 days on a drunk....

I was blown away by last night's episode of 30 days. What the hell was that woman thinking??? To endanger your life and health, screw up your young son and mess up your entire life for 30 days of binge drinking, to show your drunken slut of a teenage daughter that it is bad? What a concept. That's like hitting your kid to show them that hitting is bad. Not too smart and totally ineffectual.

If that was my kid, I would have told her to quit drinking, get some counseling or go to AA, or I was pulling the plug. No more money, no more college, go out and get a job. Paying for your kid's addiction is called enabling and it never works. I am sure not going to sit around with her, listening to her regale me with tales of her drunken partying and say, "oh my..."

What an idiot. Still love the show though....

we watched the Morgan Spurlock's new reality show, 30 days the other night, and we both agree that it's one of the best to come along in a while. Morgan and his fiance' tried to live on minimum wage for a month, and discovered it's a bitch. straying from the normal "trash" element of most reality tv shows, it was very thought provoking and often moving. I think Morgan's a brilliant guy, it's worth checking out.

We have watched this one a couple of times. This past two weeks, they did a big episode where they traded a vegan woman with a woman from the bayous whose family had an alligator farm.

For anyone who saw this... wasn't the vegan woman just the biggest bitch you had ever seen?? If I had been the Cajin family, I would have bitch-slapped that broad right out the door. And she ate meat... so not only was she a judgemental pain in the ass, she was a hypocrite to boot...

VH1 announced Tuesday that it has begun production of its fifth The Surreal Life installment. Billed as "better, stronger and faster" than ever before, the ten-episode The Surreal Life 5 will premiere Sunday, September 4, 2005 and feature an outspoken admitted steroids user and two notorious reality show divas among its seven celebrities -- a combination expected to result in the show's most explosive cast yet...
Topping The Surreal Life 5's cast will be two faces already familiar to most reality show viewers -- original The Apprentice villainess Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth and America's Next Top Model judge Janice Dickinson, the bitchy self-professed "world's first supermodel" who sparked a PR war with fellow reality TV personality Ryan Seacrest following a censored live appearance on the American Idol host's syndicated daytime talk show.

Opinions, anyone? I watched the Nightline special last night about her and Cory doin the deed, and her helping him when he was on Idol. It seemed like he had some proof that it happened, but he sure is using it to promote himself.

Ha ha, I loved that Greg got blindsided and voted off. I was really worried when Ian did that very dumb thing and told the plan. But it worked anyway.

I have been amazed in the past how survivor members just could not pull together enough to vote off people who were real threats this late in the game (i.e. Rob and Amber). But it seems like Tom, Ian and Caryn were smart enough....

Survivor kicked ass. I felt so bad for Stephenie at Tribal Council. I couldn't believe how it all worked out. Go Stephenie.

Survivor: A tribe of 2?!?

I just don't see how a tribe of only 2 people can possibly be expected to compete. It was bad enough when they were down to 3, but with Ibreham gone, I think that they are going to have to merge the tribes.

I have read that some people think that Koror may be the best tribe ever to play the game, but do you think they just LOOK that good becuase Ulong is that bad? It is easier to look fabulous when the tribe you are competing against just sucks.

Strange Love

Watched this epic tale of Flava Flav and Brigette Nelson last night, and I have to admit that I am really pulling for them to work it out and get it together. He may be a control freak, and she may be a conflicted control freak, but they genuinely seem to have deep feelings for one another.

Social conventions and whether or not others approve of a relationship should have nothing to do with how two people feel about one another. Unconventional couples have a lot to overcome, but love SHOULD conquer all! It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds...

This past week was rough, with the woman who was cutting. I used to cut, and I understand what she was going through. I was so glad to see at the end that she was doing well.

The week before had that gambling addict that was 34, and was totally supported financially by his parents. What a big pain in the ass he was! Whineing and screaming and bulling people, and claiming that parents had an obligation to support (financially) their children for the rest of their lives. Not surprised he didn't make it.

This is my first season of watching this show. I think it is rough on the contestants! They drag the results of the voting out and play with people's emotions so badly! I understand that it is all just a ratings thing, but man! I was feeling so sorry for everyone involved last night.

I have to say, I like Simon! He can be abrasive and rough with his feedback to people, but I am an advocate of honesty and he is honest!

Zodiac and I watched this one for the first time this week, and we were very touched by it. That family was so out of control, those screaming kids made us turn the volume down. But the nanny really helped, and when she talked to the oldest twin girls who had been adopted, it made me cry.

This is my first season of watching Paris and Nichole. I expected them to be horrible, stupid and spoiled. I have to say, after watching a few episodes now, I think they are a LOT smarter than they put on, and that they are very sweet women. Surreal Life

This is my first season watching this show. It is sort of fascinating, seeing how these very diverse people interact when thrown into a living arrangement like this...

I am sort of appalled and saddened by Jonie. She is a huge mess, and almost seems manic. That roommate of hers, that showed up for the VH1 show contest, is not helping at all. Vern makes me sad, too, even while he is repulsing me with all the sexual innuendos and boozing.

Adrianne is making a real fool of herself over Chris. It seems to me that he and DaBrat are the most level headed people in that house. I would add Jane to that, but she is too damn sweet, I suspect low self esteem issues with her. And does anyone else sense something between Marcus and Joanie???

can't wait for the new season of survivor, it starts feb. 17, Destri and i will be there on the edges of our seats. hopefully there won't be any johnny fairplays in the bunch, although he certainly made things interesting. watched the simple life last night, those girls are such airheads i wonder how they function well enough to breathe. we're wondering if Flava and Briggete will really wind up together or if they are just teasing us. is anyone else shocked to find out Chyna tried to commit suicide? and isn't Verne Troyer a trip?????? we're gonna check out trading spouses and see how that goes, ghosts have always interested me. was utterly amazed when Hildi did such a good job on that castle the other night given her history with feathers and cardboard. we don't see why everyone hates Simon Cowell so much, he really just tells it like it is. and sometimes we have no idea WHAT Randy's talking about. Destri thinks Gene Simmons is a real prune, we were both impressed by Kenny Loggins and Mark Mcgrath.
