I was actually pretty impressed with this one, regardless of what anyone thinks of Hogan in the wrestling business. I think it's cool that he watches out for his kids so closely, I think the unvents that unfold there will be very interesting.

Re: Hogan Knows Best........
Mon, July 11, 2005 - 12:28 PMHogan will always be the man ... Regardless of what anyone in the wrestling tribes say.. If it wasn't for him then pro wrestling wouldn't even be around more than likely...

Wed, July 13, 2005 - 11:48 AMYou are correct in saying Hogan has definitely brought pro wrestling/entertainment to the forefront of the business......But...'The Man'?
Nah.....(says this diehard Bret Hart fan)....:) -

Thu, July 14, 2005 - 11:07 AMHHH thinks he's the man.. if it wasn't for Austin Hogan and any other big name at the time of his 1st title rein .. not being around. he probably would've never got the title...

Re: Hogan Knows Best........
Fri, July 15, 2005 - 8:43 AMOkay, boys, take this back to the pro wrestling tribe....
I am more interested in what everyone thinks of Hogan putting that GSA in Brooke's car so he could track her on the date. I thought it was smart. And doesn't Brooke seem sort of immature and naive for a 16 year old these days? Probably due to Hogan being so over-protective. -

Re: Hogan Knows Best........
Fri, July 15, 2005 - 10:10 AMI thought that was a smart move too...
and yes she does seem a bit ditzy, but you're probably right, seems like Hogan makes a lotta decisions for her so little missy doesn't have to think for herself much. -

Re: Hogan Knows Best........
Fri, July 15, 2005 - 12:14 PMI would think he would be a little more concerned the guy was like 22 years old. Way to old to be dating a 16 year old. -

Re: Hogan Knows Best........
Fri, July 15, 2005 - 1:52 PMOh, I agree! NO way any 16 year old daughter of mine would go anywhere with someone that old. It was sort of odd, first he never lets her date, and then he lets her first date be with a guy 6 years older than her? What's up with that??? -

Re: Hogan Knows Best........
Sat, July 16, 2005 - 10:42 AMI think that a lot of it has to do with Hogan's trying to be "a cool guy." the tracking device was indeed clever, but as a former teenager i'll say that if there was a way to sneak around and do anything, i could overcome the most difficult obstacles....... -

Re: Hogan Knows Best........
Sat, July 16, 2005 - 11:58 AMPersonally I was wondering why a 22 year old guy would want to take out a 16 year old girl who had to phone home every 10 minutes (it seemed) and whose father had already let him KNOW he was not going to get anywhere with her (or if he even tried would most definitely pay the price). I'm betting there is no date #2. -

Re: Hogan Knows Best........
Mon, July 18, 2005 - 9:32 AMLast night's episode really showed that 'double standard' that so many men (maybe parents in general) have towards boy vs girl children. I would never allow my boys to go steady at 14! And if I had found an opened condom package in his drawer.... look out! -

Re: Hogan Knows Best........
Mon, July 18, 2005 - 9:37 AMI guess I'll just have to wait and see how that turns out with my Kids :) I have a 6year old son and 2 year old Girl.... so no matter what in the long run her dates are going to have an over protective older brother and father to go through anyhow....
Yeah I could never figure out how some parents think it's ok for a guy to sleep around and RISK becoming pregnant While the same parents daughter is forbidden to do anything with the opposite sex because they can get pregnant... Talk about double standard...

Re: Hogan Knows Best........
Mon, July 18, 2005 - 9:43 AMI agree with you there! And pregnancy is not the only risk, now, is it? Sure, you want them to use condoms, but if they don't, what about STDs, even the possibility of getting AIDs? disease doesn't care a bit about your gender.
I only raised boys, so I can't say for sure what I would have done with a girl, but I was pretty strict with them. And you know, they managed to have sex when they were about 16 anyway.... sigh -

Re: Hogan Knows Best........
Mon, July 18, 2005 - 9:58 AMHopefully my son and daughter will grow up like me when it comes to those sort of subjects.... I was one of those kids that when told abou sexual transmitted disease and drugs that could kill you, I would take it to heart....
I waited till I was in my 20's to take the risk... because to me when you're a kid , kids will lie.. If you ask a girl or guy if they have something.. Like they are going to tell you.. Even adults won't tell you it's not a kid thing really but when you're a kid you don't know when you're being lied to you by you peers.....
and drugs if I knew it would kill me just by touching it sniffing it smoking it whatever I wouldn't touch it... and now a days it's worse you don't know what anything could be laced with. I don't care if you have known the dealer your whole life... I did Pot and that was it and even as a kid it wasn't something that I did every day I did it when I was in a mood and needed to mellow out.. and I didn't go to School Stoned or anywhere in public stoned.... I kept it at home (hiding from parents of course but at least I was responsible)
can't even do that these days...they lace it with Crack and PCP and who knows what else so you don't even know what you're smoking no more...
Then I found out we were having my son and i quit cold turkey.. Just said I didn't need the pot and I wasn't bringing it around my family..
So if my kids can come out smart like me in at aspect they'll be ok :)
