I was totally disgusted when I heard that Hatch had used money that was supposed to go to a charity to fix up his house. there are also abuse allegations concerning him. AND he never bothered to pay taxes on his million he won on survivor. I wonder if any of his survival skills will help him out in the joint? seriously, though, I think he may have gotten caught up in his "Character" from the show..........

Wed, September 14, 2005 - 11:23 AMI never really had any issues with Hatch. He wasn't that bad in the game, to me. He did what he had to do to win. In fact, I was happy he won because I felt like he played the game well enough to get it. What he personally does with his own money doesn't really matter to me. Yeah, he's allegedly done some things that I wouldn't have done, but I'm not him and he's not me.
I think he maybe played up his character a little bit here and there, but I think he is generally a real ass in his everyday life too.
But this whole tax thing, it's just stupid. He was just plain dumb to think he could get away with it. I don't even see why it's headline news, actually. -

But, let's face it, when someone uses money they collected for a supposed charity to fix up their house, that's news no matter who they are. Publicizing that is good because it lets people know they can't trust just anyone.
Hatch has really cashed in on his notariety, so that makes him even bigger news. And yeah, he was dumb.
